Add the book
The books in this site are a CPT with a custom taxonomy. To add a book, fill out the custom fields and do not add any content to the content area. Make sure that the custom taxonomies (categories and series) are selected and the featured image is added.
Modify the Menu
Add the new book to the menu as normal.
Modify the home page
Go to the section where the series is featured on the home page and duplicate one of the current books, adjust the number of columns in the row to center the books and then load the featured image and the button link for the new book.
Modify the Elements
The design of the archive pages and the template pages is driven by the Kadence elements.
- go to that series archive page (ie. Wanderer Series archive) find the query card inside the query loop and adjust the columns on the query card to the number of books in the series. (3 books make it 3 columns)
- Go to that series template page (ie. Wanderer Series Template) and find the query card inside the query loop below the section of content that looks like a piece of paper. Make the columns one less than the number in the series. (3 books in the series, then make it 2 columns)
